Biplob Sarkar is a promising filmmaker from Bangladesh, studied Physics before pursuing filmmaking. He has made several short films that have been screened in national and international festivals and have won the Tareq Shahriar’s Best Independent Short award at the 15th International Short & Independent Film Festival (ISIFF, 2019). His debut feature film ‘THE STRANGER’ (AGANTUK) has competed in the New Currents of Busan International Film Festival and before that, it won FBR awards at Film Bazaar 2022 and got post-production support from Prasad Lab, Mumbai. He worked as a TV producer and has received a National Film Grant.
